Frequently Asked Questions

Please read the Rocmills FAQs before sending us a message.

What kind of online business is Rocmills?

Do you hold stock and post items to me, or does your website sell on behalf of suppliers, who then send me their products?

Rocmills is an online shop, however, we function like a traditional shop, so we buy and store all our stock on our premises. This gives us control of what we are selling. It means we can gift wrap and send everything the way we like it and know where products are in the delivery journey.  It means we can help you directly and be with you on every step of your buying journey. We want you to have a hassle free purchase and we want you to get to know us and come back again.

What are your delivery charges, shipping details and times?

You will receive an email at the address you have specified when your order has been received and despatched.

UK and Ireland orders will normally be despatched the same or next day using Royal Mail. Orders are normally received within 2-3 working days. Please see below for shipping rates.

International orders are shipped by Royal Mail who pass the package onto your overseas delivery company. The delivery timescale is a non-guaranteed 7-14 days. Please see below for shipping rates.

For out of stock items, if the delay is likely to be significant we will contact you either by telephone or email to inform you of an approximate delivery date. In the event of a delay, we will contact you either by email or telephone to inform you of this.

What exactly happens after ordering?

Once you submit an order, we immediately prepare all stock items for delivery. You can cancel your order at any stage until dispatch. If you would like to request the cancellation of an order, please contact us through our live chat, or at as soon as possible. Please inform us of any cancellation at the earliest opportunity, because once it has been dispatched, the item will be treated as a return.

I want to return an item, how do I do this?

If for any reason you decide not to keep an item, you can return it and claim for a refund. Please return to us within 14 days of receipt to the address indicated on your despatch slip. Non-faulty items must be returned in their original, undamaged packaging and must be in an unused condition.

We cannot be held responsible for goods that are returned to us that are lost in transit. If you are concerned, then we recommend that you send the goods by registered post and retain proof of posting.

If we find that the product has not been returned to us in fully re-saleable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a claim for a refund on the item, or deduct up to 50% of the selling price from the refund claim.

Please be aware that post and packaging is not refundable, except where items have been returned because they are faulty or do not otherwise conform to your order.

Do you have any real-life stores that I can visit?

We have concentrated all our efforts on this online store, so that is our main priority. We might consider doing pop-ups or concessions in the future, but for now, to give you the best online experience, that’s where you will find us.

Where are you based?

We are based in a beautiful little village called Sion Mills, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, on the border of Donegal. However, we sell products from right across the island and deliver internationally.

Why is your currency in Sterling and postage from UK and not in Euro from Ireland?

Even though we are based on the Island of Ireland, Northern Ireland is part of the UK system and so our postage rates and currency are from the UK. We use the term island of Ireland to refer to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland as one geographical entity.
